GPTA currently offers three Exam Preparatory classes a year to prepare students to take the Journeyman, Master Restricted and Unrestricted exams.  These classes are taught all day Saturday and Sunday three weekends in a row.  All classes are taught by Ron Anderson, who brings 50+ years of experience in all aspects of the Construction industry.  The classes are fast paced yet allow time for questions and explanations of the material that is taught.

It is our goal to graduate plumbing professionals that are highly skilled and knowledgeable about all aspects of plumbing.  We cover both the plumbing and gas codes plus other subjects included on the exam. We do daily testing and supply students with a number of handouts to assist them in preparing for the exam.

We invite you, at the appropriate time in your career, to attend one of our Preparatory classes prior to taking the exam.  We take pride in the fact that our success rate is high.  The job you do is extremely important in protecting the health of our nation.  You deserve the best and it is our desire to give each and every student a first- class learning experience that will be beneficial to them for years to come.

Our Prep Classes are held three times a year, three weekends each.  In 2024, the classes will be held in March, July, and November.

The GPTA rate is $129 per night plus taxes and fees. The rate includes breakfast for 2 people and any additional guest over 2 will cost $10.00 per person for breakfast. You will just need to add the guest names to the reservations when making the reservation. Parking fees will be waived for overnight guest and those attending the meeting. Complimentary shuttle within 5 miles is available to all of the guest staying at the hotel and is based on a first come first serve basis.
